BeAN
(Belconnen Artists Network): a network to keep Belconnen
artists informed about happenings in the art world.
Members participate individually and as a group in exhibitions,
community events and workshops. BeAN produces a newsletter
and welcomes new members. Meetings are held in the Charles
Hawker Room at the Belconnen Soccer Club on the first
Tuesday of each month at 6.00pm.

Salut
Baroque: Belconnen-based chamber orchestra bringing
together Australia's finest baroque musicians. The ensemble
is well known to Australian audiences, performing annual
subscription series concerts in Canberra and Sydney.

Galleries
Belconnen Gallery: located in the Belconnen Community
Centre, a community gallery that focuses on presenting
work by local and emerging artists and arts groups.
Theatres and Theatre Companies
Belconnen Theatre: a 174-seat performance space committed
to providing an exciting venue for community artistic
groups.
Tempo Theatre: a non-profit community organisation proudly
serving the Canberra region.
Two of Canberra’s theatre companies also located
in Belconnen are Free Rain Theatre in Charnwood and
G-String Productions in Hawker.
Studios and Rehearsal Rooms

Strathnairn:
an arts production facility run by SCOOP artists co-operative
and located in a delightful rural setting near Holt.
The heritage homestead holds 12 artists’ studios,
a gallery with exhibition space for the members of SCOOP
and a room for hire by non-member artists, a community
access workshop, ceramic firing facilities (including
specialised kilns) and even a wood-fired pizza oven.
Strathnairn Gallery is located in a charming early 20th
C homestead. You can find Strathnairn at 90 Stockdill
Drive , Holt, 1 kilometre on the right past the entrance
to the Belconnen Magpies Golf Club after turning at
the intersection of Spofforth Street and Drake Brockman
Drive.
