Belconnen's history

Belconnen turned 40 on 23 June 2006. In 1966 the first sod was turned in Aranda. To celebrate the Belconnen Website now has a special page on Belconnen history. The page now includes Brian Rhynehart's chronological history of Belconnen.

Belconnen is the second town centre of Canberra ACT. Development commenced in 1967 and by 2011 its population had reached 92,444. It is larger than many provincial cities in Australia.
